Rational Discourse Weekly - Episode 6 "Truth is NOT a Democracy"

This week, we discuss the complexities of the human brain, and how it relates to the "spiritual" experiences we feel. We're pattern seeking animals, and it shows in all sorts of ways - like if a branch moves in the woods, we think something is out to get us. We learn that we don't know the plural form of consciousness. Ideas, when backed by authority, can be very powerful - it's why there are so many different religions in the world (and throughout history).

Segments: From reddit: Is spirituality/religion innate? (SPOILER: religion, no; spirituality, maybe)

And an update from reddit user "StartlingCat": "I found this thread kinda late.... but here is the study (sorry my browser won't let me create a simple link for some reason). And an article from the Oxford website. I've looked for a full print of the study online, but can't find one. If you find one let me know, I'd be interested to read it."
