Rational Discourse Weekly - Episode 5 "God Wills Obama"

This week, we discuss the explanatory role of religion, and how one doesn’t need to give up those focuses when giving up faith in god - morality, focus on purpose and meaning. Also, why religion should be on the chopping block for public discussion, mainly in relation to the recent election (Romney and his Mormonism). We dive into the death penalty, and talk about Issei Sagawa, the Japanese cannibal that lives free (due to legal loopholes). Lastly, Michael mentions that atheism doesn’t mean very much, and will require us to branch into related fields (metaphysics, psychology, humanism, politics, and more). Send us your questions!
